NEW SCOREBOARD UNVEILED AT OTTAWA HILLS
CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEOThe first electronic scoreboards are now lit up at the Ottawa Hills soccer field, Mickey Stanley Field (baseball), and Marti Beckering Field (softball).The Ottawa Hills Athletic Boosters partnered with Meijer and Consumers Credit Union to make possible the purchase and installation of three new scoreboards at Ottawa Hills High School.“Take a look around right now, this is what community looks like,” Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby said during the ribbon-cutting celebration. “Your investment tells our scholars that the hard work they put in on these fields truly matters.”“We are thrilled to gather this morning to celebrate partnerships that will have a lasting impact on our scholar-athletes,” said Ottawa Hills Principal Dr. Timothy Mabin.“Let's celebrate not just these three incredible scoreboards, but this momentous win for our students, for our schools, for our coaches and our community,” said Missy Jackson from the Ottawa Hills Athletic Boosters. “Ottawa Hil

HOUSEMAN FIELD READY TO SHINE WITH NEW TRACK, TURF, AND LIGHTS
CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEO A Grand Rapids landmark has been restored to glory, ready to be the home field of GRPS scholars for another century.“From the field to the track to the lights, this is the type of complex that our scholar-athletes deserve to compete in,” said Board of Education Trustee Sara Melton during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the renovated Houseman Field. “To our community: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. None of this would have been possible without your support.”The $5.1 million renovation was funded by the Reimagine GRPS with Us! bond, which was passed overwhelmingly by voters in 2023.“I am thrilled to share that our renovation of historic Houseman Field has finished on-time and within budget,” said Executive Director of Facilities and Operations Alex Smart.Ottawa Hills and Union will meet in the inaugural matches on the new pitch Thursday, Sept. 18. OHHS SCHOLAR-ATHLETES REGISTRATION THRU FINALFORMS
Effective Fall Season 2025, Ottawa Hills Athletic Department uses a data management system called FinalForms for all athletic forms. FinalForms saves student data from sport-to-sport and year-to-year, eliminating paperwork. Parents/athletes will need to register for an account to get started. After that, you will need to log in to update, verify and sign forms once per year, or as often as your information changes.Once the account is created, you will also get communication on all sports information (tryouts, workouts, summer conditioning, etc.):Parents create an account on FinalFormsIf you have an account, be sure to update all information neededSchedule a physical for your student (must be dated after 4/15/25)Upload the physical to their FinalForms AccountStudent-athlete information must be uploaded into FinalForms to be able to participate in fall sports. GIRLS SWIM MHSAA D2 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS
Girls Varsity SwimmingDECEMBER 1: Ottawa Hills had 8 swimmers and 1 diver compete at the MHSAA D2 State Championships. Lilianna Austin, Cady Kehr, Nora Gloege, Rowen Heethuis, Cara Pazdernik, Lily Rodas, Cora Sawyer, & Ava Vohs represented the Bengals at the EMU Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti, MI. The Bengals scored more Day 2 finalists than any year in school history, with two relays: 200 Free Relay (13h); 400 Free Relay (14th), and four individual finals: Cady Kehr: 50 Free (16th); 100 Free (16th), Rowen Heethuis: 200 Free (15th), & Cara Pazdernik: 1-Meter Diving (13th). Cady Kehr also took down two team records (50 Free - 25.02; 100 Free - 54.89). The Ottawa Hills Women finished 20th in the state, tying their highest ever in school history. Congratulations Bengals!!

Ottawa Hills Cross Country Invitational
CoEd Varsity Cross Country9.15.25 Update: Ottawa Hills InvitationalThe Ottawa Hills Cross Country team hosted the Ottawa Hills Invitational on Friday, September 12. The team had a good day with several personal best and season’s best performances. The girls' varsity was first up in the PM session and had a solid race to finish 7th out of the 19 teams. Madeleine Hengeveld led the way running a lifetime best 19:17, 5 seconds under her previous PR. Her 12th place finish earned medalist honors. Cece Wojciakowski also earned a medal for her 23rd place finish dipping under 20 minutes for the first time this year in 19:43. Enna Wainer and Gwen Aupperlee also recorded season’s bests running 21:18 and 21:33 respectively. Rounding out scoring positions was Jana Kalumbula running a season’s best 21:45. Kenzie Low was 6th in for the team in 22:19 and was followed by Abby Stiltner in 22:47. Marta Doublestein knocked another 37 seconds off her PR running 23:17. Sophie Aupperlee lowered her PR by 16 seconds running
