2019 - Benne had a strong end to his freshman campaign narrowly missing All Region honors running a personal best of 16:24 at the regional meet.
2020 - After his first full year of training Benne had the an excellent sophmore season earning All Conference, All Region and fell just short of earning All State with a 31st place at the State Finals. Benne recorded a personal best at the state finals running 16:05, which also broke the Ottawa Hills school record.
