The Ottawa Hills Track and Field team competed at the Cougar Invitational on Saturday, April 20th at Catholic Central.  The girls team placed 6^th out of 22 teams and the boys were 14^th out of 22 teams.

The girls 4 x 100m relay team (Syriana Hodges, Myla Varnado, D’lilah Davis-Civil and Semaj Robertson) led the way taking first place in time of 51.12.  The girls 4 x 200m relay team (Myla Varnado, Monique Haliburton, D’lilah Davis Civil and Taylor Pierce-James) took second in a time of 1:50.78.  The team’s final medalist on the day was Liam Walters who took third place in the 3200 Meters in a time of 9:42.

The girls team also got points from the 4 x 800m relay team (Anya VanSweden, Madeleine Hengeveld, Campbell Hansen, Reese Hansen) – 4^th place, Dlilah Davis-Civil (100m – 4^th place), Semaj Robertson (100m – 5^th place), Syriana Hodges (100m hurdles - 8^th place) and Gianna Ladomato-Fisher (300m hurdles – 8^th place).

Also scoring points for the boy’s team were Jermaine Ilar (100m – 8^th place and 200m – 8^th place), the 4 x 200m relay team (Mark Roman-Pichardo, Jordon Hampton, Micah McConer and Jermaine Ilar) – 8^th place, and Rayshawn Rodgers (Discus – 6^th place).

The team will compete next on Tuesday, April 22 against Wayland and South Christian at Houseman Field.
